none - 33% none - 33% Transcript Let’s take a look at EIDP participants’ prior work history before they entered the study. The large majority or 97% had held a paying job prior to the study. Thirty three percent had not worked at all and 27% had held three or more jobs in the past five years. Around a quarter had worked for more than 24 months in the past five years but not at the same job. Only 6% had done any work in the four weeks prior to entering the EIDP, and close to half had not held a job in 2 years. Most had worked at fairly low paying jobs. Fifty-six percent had worked at jobs paying fairly low wages of $5.50 per hour or less in their most recent employment. Twenty-seven percent had earned more than $7.00 per hour in their most recent employment. At the time they entered the study, 35% were receiving SSI, 25% were recipients of SSDI, and 12% were receiving both. Around 28% were not receiving any type of disability income. As we will see later on this is an important feature in terms of predicting employment. |
