Transcript

From the chart, we can view the average length of jobs held by EIDP clients, according to the number of jobs they held. And you see that each subsequent job tended to be longer than the one before it. Among those who held two jobs, on average, the second was longer than the first. The same was true for those who held three jobs. Among those who held four jobs, once again, each job is longer than the previous job. Even among those holding 5 and 6 jobs, the final jobs held tended to be longer than the initial jobs, showing that job tenure increased as people continued to receive EIDP services.

Next let’s consider the length of the time between jobs. There was an average of 107 days between first and second jobs. This decreases to an average of 82 days between second and third jobs with another decrease to an average of 70 days between fourth and fifth jobs. There is a further decrease to an average of 59 days between the sixth and seventh jobs held by the participants. So, the length of time between jobs tended to grow shorter over time, as people were unemployed for shorter and shorter lengths of time. Remember that these results are for all participants of the EIDP study regardless of the interventions received.
