Bio:

I am Howard and I have been a faculty member at the RRTC for 11 years. Prior to coming to VCU, I worked 18 years for the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services. I have always been interested in creating business partnerships which brings about a greater opportunity for people with disabilities to gain employment. I enjoy providing training and education on marketing efforts to both rehabilitation and business leaders.

I have been involved with a number of projects and programs which has provided training as well as technical assistance to community rehabilitation programs and state rehabilitation agencies. Currently I am serving as the Business Liaison for the VCU-RRTC on Workplace Supports. As the Business Liaison I get the opportunity to interact with members of our VCU Charter Business Roundtable which has been chaired by Virginia's Lt Governor John Hager. Through the Roundtable and interaction with our other business partners such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and The American Staffing Association, we have been able to develop several joint newsletters, fact sheets, articles, and presentations to raise the awareness of people with disabilities and employment. In addition, I serve as a member of the Virginia Business Leadership Network(VABLN).
