Connie Ferrell

Bio:

Ms. Ferrell is a Technical Assistance Liaison with Virginia Commonwealth University’s SSA-funded National Training Center for WIPAs.  In this role, she provides staff training related to SSA work incentives and employment supports nationally and provides intensive technical assistance in SSA federal regions 2 and 5.
 
In addition, Ms. Ferrell is the owner of Integrated Services, a training and consulting company in Indiana. She has worked in the human services field for over 30 years, in many capacities including residential, institutional, pre-vocational, school transition, integrated and sheltered employment, juvenile corrections, a battered women’s  program and a private counseling practice.
                        
Since 1981, Connie worked for many years in supported employment, as an employment specialist, program manager, mental health counselor and consultant/mentor.   She has written on a range of topics relative to employment for people with disabilities including best practice techniques, person-centered work, effective communication and work incentives planning.
