Yes, multiple users can access the web survey under one pass code. Each school 
division will have their own unique code.

high school says to  (20:00):
The students on our list are students who moved to another county or state or 
who were expelled.  Are those the students we need to call?
Admin says (20:00):
Students who moved to another county or state are not included in the count. If 
a student has been expelled and is still receiving special ed services they are 
not counted. Students who follow up are totally separated from secondary ed 
while on an IEP.

Admin says (20:00):
Yes, it will be available at anytime.

high school says to  (20:02):
Is it appropriate to make these calls from home?  We do not want students to 
have our home phone numbers?
Admin says (20:02):
You can make them from home, however there is a problem of caller id. This would 
be a decision that would need to be made within your school division as to how 
you want to handle this.

Is this indicator a preemptive strategy for assisting students in finding jobs?
Admin says (20:03):
I am not sure I know exactly what you mean, but the Fed. govt. is very 
interested in a more detailed look at post school outcomes for students with 
disabilities across the country.

I  would like to know where we get the "Pass Code" to enter the survey?
Admin says (20:04):
The pass codes will be sent along with CDs of the training and other pertinent 
information directly to each school division's spec ed director which will be by 
the middle of March at the latest.

Are we going to receive recertification points or comp time for conducting this 
survey?
Admin says (20:05):
This is a school division decision. I know that some divisions are exploring 
ways to compensate interviewers.

What happens if the respondent doesn’t know if they actually work or not?
Admin says (20:06):
The survey allows for a response of don't know. If you wanted to pursue it 
further you could ask the individual if you could speak to someone in his/her 
family.

Admin says (20:07):
It is my understanding that the school division creates an end of year report. 
This might be developed by an IT person in your division. If you are not able to 
locate an end of year report I would contact Paul Raskof at the Dept of Ed.

We cannot find our list so how can we receive a new list ?
Admin says (20:08):
Again, I would check your IT person if your division has one, if not I would 
contact Paul Raskof at the DOE.

Admin says (20:09):
Yes, however I would STRONGLY encourage you to use the online form. The form is 
designed to move to the appropriate questions based on answers checked.

Post school follow up data are to be collected during this SPP cycle which I 
believe runs to 2011. However, what school divisions will be required  to do for 
post school follow-up beyond the 2008 report is being discussed at VDOE.

How intensive should we be in seeking out phone numbers for students with 
inactive numbers or students whose service is not connected?
Admin says (20:15):
The VDOE is asking that a reasonable attempt be made to locate the individual. I 
know that in meetings with the Fed. folks that they are encouraging states not 
to stop attempting contact because of a disconnected or inactive service.

Will these surveys be made up of a team of Special Education

This is a local school division decision on who will comprise the team of 
interviewers.

what do we do if a student will only complete a partial survey
Admin says (20:17):
That's fine. the student needs to be told prior to the interview that they can 
discontinue at any time. That it is voluntary. If a student stops mid way, and 
doesn't want to continue then you submit the survey.

The latest will be mid March.
