American Pain Foundation A nonprofit information resource and patient advocacy organization serving people with pain. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with pain by providing practical information for patients, raising public awareness and understanding of pain, and advocating against barriers to effective treatment.

Matrix Research Institute  The MRI/Penn RRTC on Vocational Rehabilitation Services for Persons with Mental Illness focuses on the employment needs of persons with serious psychiatric disabilities. The underlying mission of the RRTC is to heighten the priority attached to work in the lives of people with long term mental illness.


The Accessible Society Action Project (A.S.A.P.)
is a project of Exploding Myths, Inc. a media enterprise company that publishes Mainstream magazine. A.S.A.P, funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, is designed to focus public attention on disability and independent living issues by disseminating information developed through NIDRR-funded research to promote independent living.

The HRIM Mall - provides human resource information from around the world.  Products, services, events,  associations, jobs, ListServ posts and responses, and other HR links are available.

The National Clearinghouse of Rehabilitation Training Materials (NCRTM) exists to provide a wide variety of disability related training resources to those who serve persons with disabilities. Training materials such as manuals, papers, videotapes, audiotapes, large print and Braille are available. These materials are not generally found in a traditional library.

The National Information for Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY) is the national information and referral center that provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals.

The National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC) is a library and information center focusing on disability and rehabilitation research. The NARIC Web page includes 5 searchable databases which provide more than 60,000 resources.

The NRC for brain injury has more than 20 years of experience developing intervention programs, assessment tools, and investigating the special needs and problems of people with brain injury and their families.
