The purpose of the Virginia Commonwealth University Center for Rehabilitation Sciences and Engineering is to foster transdisciplinary rehabilitation research and training at VCU that will lead to cutting-edge translational outcomes. This center-based approach optimizes resources, facilitates collaborative activities and establishes an organizational structure to successfully compete for high-level grant funding. This goal will be achieved by careful coordination and consolidation of reputable, disability-related research endeavors from both campuses.
