Now, I am sure that you are feeling like you know everything there is about Social Security, right? Well, actually we just scratched the surface, but what we did do is give you enough information to help the people you work with understand a little about there benefits and what options are out there for them in the way of work incentives. We dont expect you to know all of the answers to all of the questions. So if you need additional information, there is a wealth of knowledge out there waiting to help answer your questions. I strongly encourage you to work collaboratively with 2 agencies. First the Social Security Administration. You can find a great deal of information at their website www.ssa.gov as well as their work site which is www.ssa.gov/work
Another great resource is the Work Incentive Planning & Assistance Programs which are located in each state. These projects have contracted with SSA to help provide individuals with disabilities information related to their benefits and work incentives. You can find the contact information for these projects at the Virginia Commonwealth University Work Incentive Planning & Assistance National Traning Center website www.vcu-ntc.org.
