Changes in the quality of autistic people's life that work in supported and sheltered employment. A 5-year follow-up study.

Study evaluated the changes in the quality of life between 1996 and 2000 for adults with autism placed in either supported employment or sheltered workshops. Results showed that participants in the supported employment program improved their quality of life in a very meaningful way while the sheltered employment group did not experience any meaningful improvement in their quality of life.
