The IEP team is responsible for facilitating the age-appropriate transition assessment process. Are you confused about which tools to use and who else might partner with you to gather this valuable information with your students? Learn how to make these decisions, practice modifying assessments for individual needs and learn how to document the assessment results in order to help your students achieve their desired postsecondary goals. This training will help you in the creation of age-appropriate transition assessments for students with intellectual disabilities that will fulfill the requirements of Indicator # 13.

You are invited to attend this training if your students are aged 14- 21 and

  1. have moderate to significant intellectual disabilities
  2. have significant challenges with communication, and use AAC
  3. communicate without using speech
  4. have challenges making choices
This webshop is designed for teachers of students with intellectual disabilities, transition coordinators, administrators and others responsible for conducting age-appropriate transition assessments for secondary students with intellectual disabilities.
