In this two part training, participants will be given a brief overview on the basics of permanent supportive housing. This will include a basic understanding of what supportive housing is, the different models of supportive housing that exist, how different ownership structures can present both advantages and challenges to owners/property managers and service partners. In addition part I of this training will provide key service standards that should be used when looking to develop a permanent supportive housing project.

Learning Objectives:

Part I

  1. To understand the various models of supportive housing
  2. To understand why collaborative partnerships in supportive housing development are a good alternative
  3. To learn the key service standards that should be in place when developing permanent supportive housing.
